In the fourth quarter of 2023, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in Spain showed varied performance in terms of downloads and weekly active users. Data from Sensor Tower provides a detailed look at these trends.
Uber - Request a ride saw a fluctuating trend in downloads, peaking at approximately 54K in the week of November 27. Weekly active users also varied, reaching a high of around 1M in early December before slightly declining to about 899K in the final week of the year.
Cabify experienced a more consistent performance. Downloads ranged from 25K to 37K, with a noticeable increase in the week of November 27, reaching 32K. Weekly active users peaked at approximately 401K in mid-December but dropped to around 319K by the end of the quarter.
Bolt: Request a Ride had a steady increase in downloads, culminating in nearly 30K in the last week of December. The app’s weekly active users hovered around 100K to 113K, with a slight dip towards the end of the quarter.
BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus maintained a consistent download rate, ranging from 15K to 21K throughout the quarter. Weekly active users showed some volatility, peaking at around 148K in early October before stabilizing at approximately 111K by the end of December.
Voltio by Mutua - Carsharing had the lowest download numbers among the top 5, fluctuating between 2K and 5K.
