In the fourth quarter of 2023, Europe's food delivery service industry saw a range of trends across the top applications. Sensor Tower's latest data provides a snapshot of the app performances in terms of downloads and weekly active users.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste experienced a decrease in downloads from 342K in late September to 209K by the end of December. The app's weekly active users saw an initial increase, peaking at 7.29M in mid-November, before declining to 5.05M by Christmas.
Just Eat - Food Delivery showed a more stable pattern in downloads, hovering around the mid-200K range, but ended the quarter with a spike to 281K in the last week of December. The weekly active users fluctuated, reaching a high of 3.79M at the end of November before settling at 3.63M at the quarter's end.
Uber Eats: Food Delivery saw its downloads decline from 216K to 214K over the quarter, with a noticeable dip to 182K in mid-December. The app's active users followed a similar downward trend, from 6.69M at the start of the quarter to 5.69M by the end.
Glovo: Food Delivery and more downloads varied, hitting a quarter high of 225K in early November before dropping to 197K by the end of December. Weekly active users peaked at 3.21M in early December and then decreased to 2.80M.
Wolt Delivery: Food and more had a steady download rate for most of the quarter, ranging between 154K and 161K, but saw a decline to 129K in the final week. The active user base showed growth through November, reaching 1.22M, but ultimately fell to just under 1M by the quarter's close.
