In the final quarter of 2023, Australia's geolocation gaming scene saw interesting trends across various popular titles. Data provided by Sensor Tower gives us a closer look at the performance of these applications on a unified platform, encompassing both iOS and Android statistics.

Niantic, Inc.'s flagship title, Pokémon GO, maintained a steady performance with revenues fluctuating around the $200K mark throughout the quarter, peaking at $219K in early October. Downloads saw a decline from 8.8K to 5.4K in November but rebounded to 8.4K by the year's end. The game's weekly active users showed a downward trend from 460K in September to 368K in December.

Another Niantic offering, Monster Hunter Now, which launched in September 2023, experienced a notable decline in revenue, starting at $36K and dipping to $11K in mid-November before slightly recovering to $13K by December. The game's downloads followed a similar pattern, dropping from 10K to around 1K during the quarter. Weekly active users decreased from 27K to 25K, with a slight rise in December.

Jam City, Inc.'s Jurassic World Alive also saw a downward trend in revenue, with a peak at $10K in early October and settling around $7K by the end of December. Downloads consistently decreased quarter over quarter, from 1.1K to 515. Active users reflected a steady decline from 2.7K to just under 2K.

Pikmin Bloom, also under Niantic's umbrella, generated modest revenues, peaking at $3.1K in early October and ending at $2.2K. Downloads were low, ranging from 649 to 246, while weekly active users showed a slight decrease from 5.1K to 3.9K.

Lastly, Tamadog - Puppy Pet Dog Games by Akita Limited Liability Company, showed an increase in revenue towards the end of the quarter, from $1.1K to $1.8K. Downloads more than quadrupled from 290 to 1.6K, and weekly active users also saw significant growth, jumping from 353 to 1.4K.
