As the final quarter of 2023 came to a close, the shopping app landscape in France showed varied user engagement and download trends across the top five platforms. Sensor Tower's comprehensive data offers insights into these trends for industry analysts and app developers.
Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire experienced a noticeable decline in downloads from nearly 342K in the first week of October to about 218K by the end of December. However, weekly active users fluctuated, peaking at roughly 2.6M in the last week of December.
SHEIN - Shopping Online also saw a decrease in downloads, dropping from 127K to 84K in the same period. The app's weekly active users showed a significant dip in mid-December, falling to under 2M, but rebounded slightly to about 2M by the year's end.
Vinted: Sell vintage clothes downloads remained relatively stable but ended the quarter with an uptick to approximately 84K. The app's active users showed resilience, maintaining above 2.5M for most of the quarter, despite a dip to around 2.5M in mid-December.
Amazon FR presented a mixed revenue trend, with intermittent weeks of zero revenue but ending the quarter with 34 USD. Downloads for Amazon FR fluctuated, peaking at 92K in November and settling at about 77K in the last week of December. Weekly active users remained robust, consistently above 3.7M throughout the quarter.
Mon E.Leclerc had a steady download rate, with a slight increase from 61K to over 65K by December's end. Active users showed minor fluctuations but generally hovered around the 660K mark throughout the quarter.
