2026 State of Mobile is Live!

In Q4 2023, the top social apps in Egypt, including TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Baaz, and Bigo Live - Live Streaming App, displayed diverse trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. Below is an overview of their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.
TikTok experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $109K in early October and ending the quarter at around $66K. Weekly downloads varied, starting strong at 451K in late September, and closing December with a notable spike to 461K. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 15.2M throughout the quarter.
Facebook saw a gradual decline in weekly revenue, from $13K in late September to about $8.4K by the end of December. Downloads also trended downward, beginning at 352K and ending the quarter with approximately 292K. The app maintained a consistent active user base, averaging around 44M.
Instagram showed a mixed revenue trend, peaking at around $15K in late September and ending December at about $9.1K. Downloads increased steadily, starting at 214K and reaching 315K by the end of the quarter. Active users exhibited stability around 11.6M.
Baaz had no reported revenue but showed a fluctuating download trend, peaking at 148K in mid-October and closing the year at 48K. Active users remained modest, averaging around 14K throughout the quarter.
Bigo Live - Live Streaming App experienced variable revenue, with a high of $5.2K in late September and ending December at about $3.1K. Weekly downloads increased from 50K to approximately 59K. Active users saw a gradual increase, reaching around 552K by the end of December.
