In the first quarter of 2024, Austria's top carpooling and ridesharing apps on the Android platform demonstrated notable trends in weekly downloads and active users. Here's a closer look at how these apps performed:
Uber - Request a ride saw fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting the quarter with around 1.9K downloads, dipping to approximately 1.4K mid-quarter, and finishing strong with nearly 2K downloads in the final week of March. Active users showed a steady trend, beginning at 63.2K and ending at 60.8K, with minor variations throughout the period.
For Bolt: Request a Ride, weekly downloads began at roughly 2.2K, experienced a decline to about 1.4K in early March, and then recovered slightly to 1.6K by the end of the quarter. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 16.4K and 17.9K.
BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus had a consistent pattern in weekly downloads, starting at 469 and ending the quarter at 449. Active users for this app also maintained stability, starting at 3.7K and hovering around the 3.2K mark throughout the quarter.
Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver experienced low download numbers, beginning at 260 and ending at 223. Active users showed a slight decline from 3.2K at the start of the quarter to approximately 3.1K by the end of March.
Lastly, inDrive. Save on city rides had the lowest download figures among the top apps, starting at 119 and dropping to 95 by the end of the quarter. Active users for inDrive also showed a slight decline, beginning at 785 and ending at 779.
