In the first quarter of 2024, the delivered meal kits and specialty foods category saw interesting trends across leading applications on the Android platform in Europe. Data compiled by Sensor Tower offers us a closer look at the performance of these apps.
HelloFresh: Meal Kit Delivery experienced a downward trend in both downloads and weekly active users throughout the quarter. Downloads started at around 42K in the first week of January and fell to 20K by the end of March. Weekly active users also decreased from 392K to 312K over the same period.
For Vivino: Buy the Right Wine, the quarter began with weekly revenues of around $4K, fluctuating and eventually settling at roughly $3K by March's end. Downloads for Vivino dipped from 26K to 15K, while weekly active users also saw a decrease, starting at 264K and concluding the quarter at 235K.
Gousto showed a significant drop in downloads from 5K to just over 1K, with weekly active users also falling from 17K to 14K. The app did not generate any revenue during this period.
Quitoque, le panier à cuisiner had a relatively stable quarter in terms of downloads, beginning with 2K and somewhat maintaining the pace with a slight drop to just over 1.5K. Weekly active user data was not available for Quitoque.
Lastly, Bene Bono saw a gradual increase in downloads throughout the quarter, starting at 1.5K and ending at around 1.4K. Like Quitoque and Gousto, Bene Bono did not have any revenue during this period, and weekly active user data was not provided.
