The first quarter of 2024 showcased interesting trends for the top 5 entertainment mascot games on the Android platform in South Africa. Data from Sensor Tower reveals how these games performed in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.
Sonic Dash Endless Runner Game from SEGA had a varied performance. Weekly revenue fluctuated, peaking at approximately $67 in the last week of March. Downloads saw a high of around 5.3K in the last week of January, while active users hovered around 53K to 60K throughout the quarter.
Sonic Forces: PvP Battle Race also from SEGA, experienced a peak in weekly revenue of around $112 in the first week of January. Downloads reached a high of 4.9K in early February, and active users peaked at nearly 20K in mid-February.
Minion Rush: Running Game by Gameloft SE showed notable spikes. The highest weekly revenue was about $79 in mid-March. Downloads surged to about 8.1K in the week of January 22, and active users peaked at around 16.4K in the same week.
Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boom Run, another SEGA title, had a peak revenue of approximately $55 at the end of January. Downloads reached around 4.7K in the last week of March, and active users saw a significant increase to about 27.4K in the same period.
Finally, SpongeBob Adventures: In A Jam from Tilting Point showed consistent growth. Weekly revenue peaked at around $124 in the first week of January. Downloads hit a high of 6.3K in the week of February 19, and active users peaked at about 6.7K towards the end of March.
