In the first quarter of 2024, the Food and Drink category on the Android platform in Mexico saw significant activity among the top 5 applications. Below, we delve into the performance trends of these leading apps, highlighting their weekly downloads and active users.
DiDi Food: Express Delivery started the quarter strong with approximately 95K downloads in the first week of January. However, downloads fluctuated throughout the quarter, dropping to a low of around 71K in late January and stabilizing at around 73K by the end of March. Active users for DiDi Food saw a peak of 1.29M in mid-February before slightly declining to 1.22M by the last week of March.
Rappi: Food Delivery, Grocery experienced a varied trend in downloads, starting at 82K in early January, dipping to around 61K in early March, and then rising to 75K by the end of the quarter. Active users for Rappi remained relatively stable, with a high of approximately 1.19M in mid-February and ending the quarter at around 1.06M.
McDonald's Offers and Delivery saw a significant spike in downloads, with a notable peak of approximately 127K in late February. The app's active users also saw a peak increase, reaching nearly 400K in the same period, before stabilizing at around 316K by the end of March.
Uber Eats: Food Delivery had a consistent download trend, starting at around 69K in the first week of January and ending the quarter at approximately 57K. Active users for Uber Eats showed a steady increase, peaking at around 685K in mid-February and ending the quarter at approximately 646K.
mi OXXO had a more fluctuating download trend, starting strong at approximately 52K in early January, dipping to around 24K in mid-March, and then slightly recovering to 34K by the end of March. The app's active users saw a downward trend, starting at around 190K in early January and decreasing to approximately 135K by the end of the quarter.
