2026 State of Mobile is Live!

During the first quarter of 2024, the top Maps and Navigation apps on the Android platform in New Zealand showcased diverse performance trends. Here’s a look at how each app fared according to Sensor Tower data.
Navionics® Boating from Garmin Italy Technologies srl experienced a steady decline in weekly revenue, starting at approximately $6.7K in the first week of January and tapering off to around $2.5K by the end of March. Weekly downloads also saw a downward trend, beginning at 198 and dropping to 103 by the end of the quarter. Active users decreased from 396 to 291 over the same period.
Spacetalk by Spacetalk Ltd. showed a varied revenue pattern, with a notable peak of around $2K in the final week of March. Downloads for this app remained relatively low throughout the quarter, peaking at 54 in late January and ending with 26 in the last week of March.
Circuit Route Planner from Circuit Routing Limited had a fluctuating revenue performance, starting at about $1K and reaching a high of $1.2K in mid-March before settling at $771 by the end of the quarter. Downloads were relatively stable, with a peak of 79 in early March and declining to 38 by the quarter's end. Active users showed a slight decline from 382 in the first week of January to 317 by the last week of March.
New Zealand Topo Maps, published by ATLOGIS Geoinformatics GmbH & Co. KG, had a consistent revenue stream, with minor fluctuations, peaking at $814 in mid-March. Downloads saw a peak of 432 in mid-February before dropping to 344 by the end of the quarter.
NZ Topo50 Offline - South from Right Place Resources showed a mixed performance in revenue, starting at $360 and dipping to $208 in mid-February before rising again to $353 in the last week of March. Downloads had a significant drop from 508 in mid-January to just 56 by the end of March.
