In Q1 2024, the top 5 shopping apps on Android in Europe demonstrated varied performance in terms of weekly downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the trends observed for each app, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire saw a notable fluctuation in weekly downloads, peaking at around 1.7M in mid-January and then experiencing a dip to approximately 1.1M by mid-March. Weekly active users for Temu remained strong, starting at 12.2M at the beginning of January and climbing steadily to reach about 14.1M by the end of March.
SHEIN-Shopping Online showed consistent growth in weekly downloads, starting from 660K in early January and rising to about 872K by the end of March. The app also maintained a robust user base, with weekly active users increasing from 12.4M to nearly 19M throughout the quarter.
Lidl Plus experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, reaching its peak at around 439K in late February. Weekly active users for Lidl Plus grew from 7.5M in early January to approximately 8.5M by the end of March, indicating a strong user retention.
Wildberries had a varied download trend, starting at 469K in early January, dipping to 283K mid-month, and then rebounding to around 512K by early March. The app’s weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around the 32M to 34M mark throughout the quarter.
AliExpress - Shopping App showed a gradual increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 435K by the end of March. The weekly active users for AliExpress also saw a steady rise, starting at 13.9M in early January and reaching about 14.4M by the end of the quarter.
