In the first quarter of 2024, the Hack and Slash genre on iOS has seen varying trends in Australia. Sensor Tower's data provides insights into how top titles performed in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.
Hades - NETFLIX from Netflix, Inc. made its debut with a splash, garnering around 4.6K downloads in its launch week. Downloads dipped to approximately 2.7K in the following week. Weekly active users showed a positive trend, starting at around 3.9K and rising to 5.4K. The game initially generated about $47 in revenue, but did not sustain this in the subsequent week.
Pocket Knights2: Dragon War by Enjoy Game Inc displayed a steady revenue stream, peaking at $116K before dropping to zero. Downloads saw a spike with 1.9K in mid-February, then fell to negligible numbers. Weekly active users peaked at 866 before declining to 97.
Honkai Impact 3, developed by miHoYo Limited, showed robust revenue figures, reaching as high as $6.9M before settling at $1.9M. Downloads remained fairly consistent, ranging from 158 to 280 per week. Weekly active users saw a peak of 931 and ended the quarter at 709.
Disney Mirrorverse from Kabam Games, Inc. experienced a fluctuating revenue pattern, with a notable high of $623K and closing the quarter at $200K. Downloads varied slightly, peaking at 241 and ending at 217. Weekly active users demonstrated a healthy engagement, starting at 4.2K and rising to 4.4K.
Ronin: The Last Samurai by Dreamotion Inc. had a diverse quarter, with revenue hitting a high of $383K before dropping to $57K. Downloads saw a significant jump to 966 in late February, but this trend did not continue, decreasing to 24 by the end of March. Weekly active users mirrored this pattern, peaking at 1.1K and then falling to 453.
