Latin America's iOS platform saw interesting trends in the MMORPG category during the first quarter of 2024. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers a glimpse into the performance of the top five applications in this genre.
ROO made a splash with its recent release, garnering an impressive initial download count of 120K in its debut week. However, downloads showed a sharp decline thereafter, settling at around 2K by the end of the quarter. Revenue for ROO displayed a more stable trend, starting at approximately $95K and peaking at around $123K, showing a promising start for the new title.
On the other hand, MU: Dragon Havoc experienced a gradual decrease in both downloads and revenue throughout the quarter. Downloads dipped from 5K to under 1K, while revenue also saw a decreasing pattern, falling from $48K to $20K in the final week of March.
Diablo Immortal maintained a steady base of weekly active users, starting the quarter with 63K users and slightly decreasing to 53K by the end of March. Downloads for the title remained consistent, ranging between 2K and 3K. Revenue fluctuated, with a notable peak of around $32K in the last weeks of January and March.
Wemade Co., Ltd. introduced NIGHT CROWS mid-quarter, which saw an initial download figure of approximately 10K. Subsequent weeks saw a decline, with downloads falling to just over 1K. Revenue trends started at $55K and showed a slight downward trend, ending the quarter at about $44K.
Lastly, The Legend of Neverland presented a consistent pattern of weekly active users, starting with nearly 8K users and decreasing to just over 6K by the quarter's close. Downloads showed a steady decrease from 2K to under 1K. Revenue saw some fluctuations, with an early January peak of $16K and a final week revenue of around $4.5K.
