During the first quarter of 2024, the top five navigation and maps applications on iOS in Costa Rica demonstrated diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users.
Google Maps had a fluctuating download pattern, starting the quarter with 3.4K weekly downloads and peaking at 4.4K in the week of January 22. Downloads then dipped to 2.6K in mid-March before rising again to 3.7K by the end of the quarter. The app maintained a stable active user base, hovering around 160K throughout the quarter.
Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a general increase in weekly downloads, starting at 2.5K and ending at 3.3K by late March. Active users saw a slight decline from 114K at the beginning of January to around 110K by the end of March.
Google Earth had consistent weekly downloads, averaging around 500. The active user count remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 3.4K and 3.8K throughout the quarter.
CarbitLink-EasyConnection showed a steady revenue stream, peaking at $18 in late February. Weekly downloads were consistent, averaging around 120, while active users saw a gradual increase from 805 to 939 by the end of the quarter.
Speedometer Speed Tracker GPS showed a modest revenue increase, reaching $19 by the end of March. Weekly downloads varied, peaking at 111 in early January and then fluctuating between 48 and 94. Active users showed a slight upward trend, ending the quarter at 258.
