The first quarter of 2024 saw diverse performance trends for the top 5 paid games on iOS in Australia. Here's a closer look at the weekly downloads, revenue, and active user statistics for these leading games, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Minecraft from Mojang experienced a relatively stable revenue stream, peaking at around $38.9K in the week of January 22 and seeing a low of $29.7K in mid-March. Weekly downloads fluctuated, starting at 1.8K in early January and dropping to 1.2K in late February. Active users showed a slight decline from 107.6K at the beginning of the quarter to 100K by the end.
Ninja Kiwi's Bloons TD 6 saw a decrease in weekly revenue from $11.3K at the start of January to around $6.3K by the end of March. Downloads also fell from 434 in the first week of January to 297 in the last week of March. The active user count showed a slight downward trend, starting at 3.4K and ending at 2.9K.
MONOPOLY: The Board Game by Marmalade Game Studio saw its revenue peak at $3.9K in the first week of January, dropping to about $1.5K by the end of March. Downloads followed a similar pattern, starting at 440 in early January and decreasing to 195 by the last week of March. Active users also declined, from 1.4K at the beginning of the quarter to 751 by the end.
Heads Up! from Warner Bros. had its highest revenue in the first week of January at $4.7K, which dropped to $1.8K by late March. Downloads started at 510 in the first week of January, dipping to 259 by the end of March. Active users decreased from 701 at the start of the quarter to 410 by the last week of March.
Geometry Dash by RobTop Games AB saw a revenue high of $2.3K in the first week of January, tapering off to $1.2K by the end of March. Downloads began at 608 in early January and decreased to 314 by the last week of March. Active users showed a steady decline from 5.6K at the beginning of the quarter to 4.3K by the end.
