In the first quarter of 2024, the top sandbox games on iOS in Germany exhibited diverse performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s an overview of how each app performed, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Roblox from Roblox Corporation saw a dynamic quarter. Weekly revenue peaked at around $272K in the first week of January and experienced fluctuations, ending the quarter at approximately $234K in the last week of March. Downloads ranged from 23K to 32K per week, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter. Weekly active users remained robust, fluctuating between 493K and 546K, with a notable rise to 533K in the final week of March.
Minecraft by Mojang also displayed varied performance. Weekly revenue started at approximately $37K, saw a dip mid-quarter, and ended at about $33K. Downloads were relatively stable, ranging from 1.3K to 1.7K per week. Active users showed some fluctuation, starting at 142K and ending at 124K.
Block Craft 3D: Building Games from Wildlife Studios had a mixed quarter. Revenue saw modest peaks with a high of around $631 in the last week of February. Downloads varied, with a high of 5.8K in the first week of January and a low of 3.7K in early March. Active users ranged from 32K to 38K, ending the quarter on a positive note with a rise to 37K.
Townscaper by Raw Fury experienced significant fluctuations in revenue. The highest weekly revenue was approximately $1.1K in mid-February. Downloads were modest, peaking at 268 in the same period. Active users data was not available.
Habbo - Original Virtual World from Sulake Corporation Oy showed interesting trends. Revenue peaked at about $1.1K in the first week of January and saw various fluctuations, ending the quarter at around $676. Downloads remained relatively stable, ranging from 189 to 256 per week. Active users were steady, hovering around 2K throughout the quarter.
