In the first quarter of 2024, the top five air travel apps in Denmark—SAS – Scandinavian Airlines, Ryanair, Norwegian Travel Assistant, KLM - Book a flight, and Lufthansa—exhibited varied trends in downloads and active users on both iOS and Android platforms. Here’s a closer look at their performance.
SAS – Scandinavian Airlines experienced a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting with 1.9K in the first week of January and peaking at 3.3K in the third week of March. Weekly active users also showed a positive trend, rising from 5.2K to 6.9K throughout the quarter.
Ryanair saw a stable download rate early in the quarter, with a notable increase towards the end, reaching 2.7K in the last week of March. Active users showed a steady pattern, starting at 14.8K and ending the quarter slightly higher at 15.6K.
Norwegian Travel Assistant had a gradual rise in weekly downloads, beginning at 1.6K and peaking at 2.6K by mid-March. Active users followed a similar trend, increasing from 4.7K in the first week of January to 5.8K by the end of the quarter.
KLM - Book a flight showed fluctuations in downloads, starting at 1.4K and reaching a high of 2K in mid-January, before settling at 1.4K by the end of March. Active users grew from 5.6K to 6.9K over the quarter, despite some mid-quarter dips.
Lufthansa displayed a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at 1K and peaking at 1.9K in the third week of March. Active users also rose consistently, from 7.2K at the beginning of January to 9.5K by mid-March.
