Q1 2024 Snapshot: Top Air Travel Apps in Latin America

In the first quarter of 2024, the air travel industry's mobile presence in Latin America has shown notable user engagement. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, sheds light on the performance of the region's top air travel apps on a unified platform.

The LATAM Airlines app experienced a fluctuating trend in downloads, starting with approximately 99K in the first week of January and peaking at around 117K during the second week. Weekly downloads saw a dip to 83K towards the end of March. Weekly active users also saw a rise and fall, beginning at 525K and reaching up to 570K, with a slight decline to 513K by the end of March.

Flightradar24 | Flight Tracker showed a steady performance in revenue, ranging from about $14K to $17K weekly. Downloads for the app saw an impressive peak of approximately 68K in late January, with a decrease to 39K by the last week of March. The weekly active users count remained robust, starting at 402K and climbing to a high of 442K.

The Volaris app's downloads began at around 41K and reached a high of approximately 47K in mid-March, before declining to 33K by the quarter's close. Weekly active users started at 110K, peaked at 120K, and finished the quarter at around 101K.

Viva Aerobus: Fly! downloads commenced the quarter at roughly 44K, experienced a slight dip, and then increased again to 45K in March, before declining to 36K. Weekly active users numbered at 144K at the start of January, peaked at 149K, and ended the quarter at 135K.

Lastly, Aeromexico saw its downloads start at about 31K, with a relatively stable trend throughout the quarter, ending at 24K. Weekly active users for Aeromexico had a similar pattern, beginning at 98K, peaking at 102K, and ending the quarter with 88K active users.
