In the first quarter of 2024, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in Colombia showed significant performance metrics. Here's a closer look at the weekly trends in downloads and active users for each app, based on data from Sensor Tower.
inDrive. Save on city rides saw a dynamic quarter in terms of downloads and active users. Weekly downloads peaked at approximately 87.6K in the final week of January before gradually declining to around 60.7K by the end of March. Active users started strong with 2.5M in the first week of January, reaching a high of 3.1M in mid-March, and then slightly dropping to 2.7M by the quarter's end.
DiDi Rider: Affordable rides experienced a stable trend in weekly downloads, starting at 54K and fluctuating slightly before ending the quarter at around 48.6K. Active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 1.2M and witnessing a peak of 1.5M in late January, before closing March with 1.3M.
Yango: taxi, food, delivery showed a remarkable increase in downloads, beginning the quarter with 7.9K and soaring to about 80.9K by the end of March. Active users mirrored this growth, starting at 29.7K and rising steadily to hit 141.2K in the last week of March.
Uber - Request a ride maintained consistent weekly downloads throughout the quarter, starting at 32.7K and ending at 33K. The app's active users grew from 950.2K in early January to a peak of approximately 1.3M in mid-March, before returning to 1.1M by the end of the quarter.
DiDi Driver: Drive & Earn Cash had steady weekly downloads, starting at 26.1K and reaching up to 32.4K in early March, before settling at 25.6K by the end of the quarter. Active users showed a gradual increase from 165.4K in the first week of January to 182.1K by early March, with a slight decline to 176.1K by the end of March.
