The first quarter of 2024 witnessed diverse performance metrics for the top consumer finance applications in Peru. Below, we delve into the weekly downloads and active user trends of the leading apps in this category, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Banca Móvil BCP saw significant fluctuations in its weekly downloads. Starting strong with over 81K downloads in early January, it peaked at around 120K by the end of the month. However, the downloads gradually declined, ending the quarter at approximately 67K. The active user base remained robust throughout the quarter, starting at about 1.99M and peaking at 2.12M towards the end of January, before stabilizing around 1.99M by late March.
Interbank APP maintained a steady download rate, beginning the quarter with around 32K and peaking at nearly 38K in late February. The app’s active users exhibited a stable trend, starting at approximately 761K and reaching around 810K by the end of February, before slightly decreasing to 777K by the end of March.
BBVA Perú experienced consistent weekly downloads, beginning with 26K downloads and peaking at 33K in late February. The app’s active user base showed a similar trend, starting at about 1.21M and peaking at 1.26M in late February, before ending the quarter at around 1.20M active users.
Banco de la Nación-banca móvil showed varied performance in downloads, starting at 30K and peaking at nearly 31K in late February, with a notable dip to 22K in mid-March. The active user count remained relatively stable, starting at approximately 258K and reaching a peak of 264K in late February, ending the quarter slightly lower at 237K.
Scotiabank Perú had a more modest download performance, starting with about 18K downloads and maintaining around 15K to 18K throughout the quarter. The active user base remained steady, starting at 292K and peaking at 304K in late February, before ending the quarter at approximately 285K.
