Latin America's convenience store sector has seen diverse app performance in the first quarter of 2024, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here's a breakdown of how top apps fared on the unified platform, comprising both iOS and Android data.
mi OXXO led the pack with fluctuating download numbers, starting the quarter at roughly 62K and ending with around 41K. Weekly active users also saw a downtrend from approximately 246K to 180K by the quarter's close.
Dollar General experienced a wavering download trend, peaking at nearly 3K twice during the quarter. Active users steadily increased from about 12K to close to 20K, indicating growing engagement over the period.
Family Dollar showed a similar pattern with downloads peaking at over 2K and concluding the quarter with around 1.7K. Weekly active users presented a less consistent trend, ranging from just over 1K to around 3K throughout the quarter.
7-Eleven Mexico maintained a download count starting at nearly 900 and dipping down to 662 by quarter-end. Their active user base started at approximately 2.6K, tapering off to 1.9K by March.
Lastly, The 99 Store saw its downloads begin at a modest 176, spiking at 490, and ending the quarter with 458. Weekly active users hovered around the 900 mark, ending slightly higher at 1K.
