During the first quarter of 2024, the top five dating applications in Italy exhibited varied performance metrics on a unified platform. Here’s a detailed look at how each app fared in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users according to Sensor Tower data.
Tinder Dating App: Chat & Date from Tinder Inc. experienced a fluctuating revenue trend, starting at around $291K in early January and peaking at approximately $291.9K by the end of the month. The app's weekly downloads saw a decline from 29.3K at the beginning of January to around 20.6K in the last week of March. Meanwhile, weekly active users fluctuated slightly, beginning the quarter at 1M and ending at about 940.6K.
Hinge Dating App: Match & Meet by Hinge, Inc. showed a steady increase in weekly revenue, starting at $18K in early January and reaching about $22.8K by the end of March. The app's weekly downloads, however, showed a downward trend, starting at 22K and decreasing to approximately 14.6K by the end of March. Weekly active users for Hinge saw a consistent rise, from 184.1K in the first week of January to 228.9K by the end of the quarter.
Bumble Dating App: Meet & Date from Bumble Holding Limited had a mixed performance in terms of revenue, with fluctuations around an average of $50K per week and peaking at $55.7K in late February. Weekly downloads showed a significant drop from 29.1K in early January to about 11.7K in mid-March. The number of weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at approximately 129.6K and closing the quarter at 130.7K.
Badoo: Dating. Chat. Friends by Badoo Software Ltd displayed a varied revenue trend, beginning at $72.9K in early January and maintaining around $61.3K by the end of March. The app’s weekly downloads started at 17.3K and slightly decreased to about 12K by the end of the quarter. Active users saw minor fluctuations, starting at 602.5K and ending at approximately 574.8K.
Azar - Video Chat by Hyperconnect LLC showed a steady revenue trend, starting at $39K in early January and peaking at about $45.3K by the end of March. Weekly downloads for Azar saw a decline from 17.8K at the beginning of January to around 17.1K by the end of March. The app’s active users showed an overall increase, starting at 103.9K and reaching about 102.7K by the end of the quarter.
