In Q1 2024, the top 5 education apps in Mexico on the unified platform demonstrated diverse trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance:
Duolingo - Language Lessons saw a significant start with weekly revenue peaking at approximately $113K in early January, gradually declining to around $64K by the end of March. Weekly downloads were robust, starting at 179K and fluctuating before ending the quarter at 118K. Active users remained strong, averaging around 2M throughout the quarter.
Toca Boca World experienced a decline in weekly revenue from $104K at the beginning of January to approximately $44K at the end of March. Weekly downloads also decreased from 152K to 87K over the quarter. Active users showed a similar pattern, starting at 1.3M and ending at 1M.
Headway: Daily Book Summaries had a notable drop in weekly revenue from $50K in early January to $24K by the end of March. Weekly downloads decreased significantly from 129K to 22K over the same period. Active users followed suit, dropping from 382K to 177K.
Lingokids - Play and Learn showed relatively stable weekly revenue, starting at $30K and maintaining around $24K towards the end of March. Weekly downloads saw a gradual decline from 52K to 21K throughout the quarter. Active users remained consistent, averaging around 77K.
Udemy Online Video Courses had a modest performance with weekly revenue fluctuating around $25K to $17K. Weekly downloads were relatively low, starting at 4K and ending at 2.6K. Active users remained steady, averaging around 25K.
