In the first quarter of 2024, Australia's fast food app scene saw significant user engagement, with several notable apps showing trends in downloads and weekly active users. Sensor Tower's data gives us a clear view of how these apps have performed on the unified platform.
MyMacca's experienced a progressive increase in downloads, starting from 20K in the first week of January and peaking at nearly 51K by mid-March. Weekly active users also showed an overall increasing trend, from approximately 623K to 670K in the same period.
KFC - Order On The Go downloads remained relatively stable in the early weeks of the quarter, with a spike to 31K at the end of February. The app's weekly active users ranged from 233K to 260K, with notable increases in late February and late March.
For Hungry Jack’s Deals & Ordering, downloads fluctuated, with an early January number of around 18K and a late March peak at over 21K. Weekly active users held steady, with minor fluctuations around the 167K to 174K range throughout the quarter.
Domino's showed a consistent number of downloads across the quarter, ranging from 11K to 14K. Weekly active users experienced a slight decline, starting from 75K in the first week of January and ending the quarter at around 71K.
Lastly, Guzman y Gomez (GYG) Mexican saw an increase in downloads from 10K to nearly 13K by the end of March. Weekly active users for GYG displayed growth, starting at around 29K and rising to just under 32K.
While revenue data was not applicable to these apps for Q1 2024, the trends in downloads and active users provide valuable insights into the popularity and engagement levels of these top fast food and fast casual restaurant applications in Australia.
