The first quarter of 2024 brought interesting trends for the top food and drink applications in Switzerland. Here's a closer look at the performance of the leading apps based on Sensor Tower data.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste saw a notable fluctuation in weekly downloads. Starting strong with around 6.6K downloads in early January, the numbers peaked at 9.5K in mid-January before stabilizing around 7K towards the end of March. Weekly active users for this app remained robust, peaking at 238K in early February and slightly tapering off to 220K by the end of the quarter.
McDonald’s - Non-US experienced a mixed trend in weekly downloads, starting at 7.5K at the beginning of January and ending with a slight rise to 6.7K by the last week of March. Active user numbers showed a decline over the quarter, from a high of 176K in mid-January to approximately 133K at the end of March.
Just-Eat.ch maintained a more stable performance with weekly downloads hovering around 4.5K to 5K for most of the quarter, ending at almost 4.9K in the final week of March. The app's active users remained fairly consistent, with a slight peak at 43.2K in the last week of January and ending the quarter with about 42.3K active users.
Uber Eats: Food Delivery demonstrated a steady trend in weekly downloads, maintaining figures around 3.4K throughout most of the quarter. Active users saw a slight decline, starting at 82.4K in early January and ending with approximately 79.6K by the end of March.
Finally, Burger King CH showed a significant increase in weekly downloads towards the end of Q1, rising from 2.7K in early January to 5.1K in the last week of March. The active user base also grew steadily, starting at 16.7K and peaking at 20.1K by the end of the quarter.
