The first quarter of 2024 has seen varied performance among the top food delivery services in Brazil. Here's a look at how each app fared on a unified platform according to Sensor Tower data.
iFood comida e mercado em casa experienced fluctuating downloads, starting strong at 346K and peaking at 396K before dipping to 293K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users showed an overall increasing trend, with a notable peak at 11.9M in mid-February.
For iFood para Entregadores, downloads surged to 69K in mid-January, followed by a general decline, settling at 49K. Active users peaked at 269K late in February, with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter.
Rappi: Food Delivery, Grocery downloads stayed within the 17K to 22K range, ending the quarter slightly higher at 19K. Active users saw a rise, reaching a peak of 672K in the final week of March.
Uber Eats Orders had a modest start with 11K downloads, dipping to 6.4K, and then recovering to 7.2K by quarter's end. Active users grew consistently from 29K to 35K over the three months.
Lastly, Vivino: Buy the Right Wine, the only app generating revenue, saw a slight increase from $4.2K to $4.4K in weekly revenue, with downloads peaking at 7.7K in late January. Active users fluctuated, ending on a high note at 53K.
