In the first quarter of 2024, Italy's food delivery market saw notable trends across the top 5 apps: Too Good To Go: End Food Waste, Glovo: Food Delivery and more, Deliveroo: Food & Shopping, Just Eat - Food Delivery, and Speasy. Here’s a closer look at their performance:

Too Good To Go: End Food Waste saw a significant rise in weekly downloads, starting at 25.7K in early January and peaking at 45.9K in the week of February 19. The app maintained strong engagement, with weekly active users increasing from 388K at the start of the quarter to a peak of 477K in early February, before settling at 443K by the end of March.

Glovo: Food Delivery and more experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, beginning at 45K in the first week of January, dropping to 29.6K in mid-March, and ending the quarter at 35.6K. Active users showed a slight decline, starting from 731K and ending at 698K.

Deliveroo: Food & Shopping had a relatively stable download rate, beginning at 40.2K in the first week of January and ending at 25K in late March. Active user numbers saw a minor decrease, starting at 518K and closing the quarter at 488K.

Just Eat - Food Delivery showed a consistent decline in weekly downloads, from 41.5K at the beginning of January to 21.2K at the end of March. Active users followed a similar trend, starting at 198K and gradually decreasing to 166K by the end of the quarter.
