In the first quarter of 2024, Egypt's top five lifestyle apps on a unified platform demonstrated distinct trends in downloads, revenue, and active user metrics. Here’s a detailed look at their performance, using data from Sensor Tower.
Tinder Dating App: Chat & Date experienced fluctuations in its weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $12.9K in early January and mid-February, before declining to around $7.7K by the end of March. Weekly downloads showed a mixed pattern, starting at 5.9K and ending the quarter at 6.5K. Active users saw a slight decline from 79K in early January to around 69K by the end of March.
Bumble Dating App: Meet & Date maintained a relatively stable revenue, with a peak of $10.7K in early January, tapering off to $6K by the end of March. Downloads showed a downward trend, starting at 2.3K and ending at 1.6K. Active users remained fairly consistent, hovering around 82K throughout the quarter.
LivU - Live Video Chat saw a steady revenue stream, peaking at $4.7K in the first week of January, and ending at around $2.9K by late March. Downloads fluctuated slightly, starting at 7.1K and ending at 6.6K. Active users remained stable, ranging between 30K and 33K.
AlKhattaba - Muslim Marriage had a more varied revenue pattern, peaking at $1.7K in mid-January and declining to around $660 by the end of March. Downloads followed an upward trend, starting at 5.7K and rising to 6.9K. Active users showed an increase from 183K in early January to 194K by the end of March.
Muzz: Muslim Marriage & Social had consistent revenue, peaking at $2.6K in late February and ending the quarter at approximately $1.4K. Downloads started at 8K, peaking at 9.8K in mid-March, and ending at 8.3K. Active users increased from 60K in early January to around 70K by mid-March.
