The first quarter of 2024 has been eventful for the MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) category in Brazil. Sensor Tower's data provides a comprehensive view of how the top five MOBA apps performed on the unified iOS and Android platforms during this period.
Brawl Stars maintained a strong presence, with downloads peaking at nearly 198K in the last week of March. The game's revenue exhibited fluctuations, with a notable increase to $229K in the same week. Weekly active users showed an upward trend, reaching a high of 5.76M by the end of the quarter.
League of Legends: Wild Rift saw a steady performance in downloads, hovering around the 30K mark most weeks, and a slight decline in revenue, ending at $88K in the last week of March. The weekly active users dipped slightly but remained above 400K towards the end of Q1.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang experienced a gentle decline in downloads, with just over 37K in the last week of March. Revenue for the game saw a drop to $58K in the same period, while active users showed a recovery, bouncing back to over 1M.
The newcomer Honor of Kings, released in mid-2024, garnered significant interest with downloads reaching 93K in the last week of March. It also showed a revenue of $23K for the same period. Active users saw a consistent rise, ending the quarter at over 851K.
Lastly, Pokémon UNITE had its moments with downloads spiking to 73K in late February, although it saw a decrease in revenue to $4.8K by the end of March. The weekly active users count ended at 168K, indicating a stable but smaller player base.
