In Q1 2024, the top five news and magazines applications in Austria showcased interesting trends in downloads and revenue. Here’s a closer look at their performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.
ORF.at News experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting strong with 2.4K in the first week of January and hitting a low of 850 in early March. The app saw another surge towards the end of March, reaching approximately 1.4K downloads per week.
Krone-ePaper had a dynamic quarter with weekly downloads peaking at 983 in the final week of March. Revenue trends showed significant growth, moving from $25 in the first week of January to an impressive $121 by the last week of March.
DER STANDARD News had a notable spike in downloads mid-March, reaching 1.3K. This was a significant increase from the initial weeks of the quarter, where downloads hovered around 300-400.
MeinBezirk maintained a steady performance, with weekly downloads ranging from 338 to 651. The highest number of downloads was observed in mid-March.
KURIER - News & ePaper showed a mixed trend in weekly downloads, peaking at 3.2K in mid-February. Revenue remained relatively stable, starting the quarter at $129 and ending at $83 per week.
