In Q1 2024, the top five personal finance budgeting and planning apps in Sweden showed varied performance in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a closer look at each app's metrics on a unified platform.
Alwy: Budget, spara, ekonomi from Optimize Savings Sweden AB experienced significant fluctuations in both revenue and downloads. Weekly revenue peaked at around $1K at the end of January but saw a decline to approximately $441 by the end of March. Downloads followed a similar pattern, starting strong with 800 in the first week of January but dropping to 163 by the end of March.
Buddy: Budget Planner App from Buddy Budgeting AB showed a consistent trend in active users and downloads. Revenue saw a high of $1.1K in late January but gradually decreased, ending Q1 with around $390. Weekly downloads fluctuated, peaking at 606 in late January and stabilizing at around 451 by the end of March. Active users ranged from 635 at the beginning of the quarter to 525 by the end.
Splitwise from Splitwise, Inc. maintained a steady performance across all metrics. Revenue hovered between $200 and $514 throughout the quarter. Downloads remained robust, starting at 2.9K in the first week and ending with 1.6K. Active users showed minor fluctuations, starting at 15.3K and ending at 13.3K.
YNAB from You Need A Budget LLC had modest metrics compared to other apps. Revenue peaked at $267 in the first week of January but saw a decline, with a slight recovery to $209 by the end of March. Downloads were relatively low, peaking at 73 in late February. Active users ranged from 392 at the beginning to 362 by the end of the quarter.
Fast Budget - Expense Manager from AppFer S.R.L. showed stable performance in terms of revenue and active users. Revenue remained around $180 at the start of the quarter and ended at $131. Downloads varied, peaking at 268 in late February and ending with 174. Active users saw minor fluctuations, starting at 867 and ending at 881.
