In Q1 2024, the top 5 shopping applications in Mexico on a unified platform displayed diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides a detailed look into the performance of these popular apps.
Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire experienced strong weekly download numbers, starting at approximately 1.08M in early January and peaking at around 1.37M in late March. Its weekly active users also showed a consistent rise, from 6.7M in the first week of January to about 8.5M by the end of March.
SHEIN - Shopping Online had a mixed quarter in terms of downloads, fluctuating between 511K and 714K across the weeks. Active users saw a slight decline from 7M in early January to around 6.7M by mid-March, before rebounding to approximately 7M by the end of the quarter.
Mercado Libre: Compras Online showed notable weekly download activity, with a high of about 617K in mid-February. However, downloads tapered off to around 297K by the end of March. The app maintained a robust active user base, starting at over 10.5M and slightly decreasing to approximately 9.7M by late March.
AliExpress Shopping App saw its weekly downloads peak at roughly 655K in mid-February, before stabilizing around the 300K mark towards the end of the quarter. Active users increased from about 5.2M at the beginning of January to around 6.3M by late March.
Amazon Shopping demonstrated steady weekly revenue, ranging from approximately $35K to $54K throughout the quarter. Downloads showed a gradual decline from about 157K in early January to around 124K by late March. Active users experienced a slight decrease from 3.1M to around 2.8M over the same period.
