The first quarter of 2024 has seen varied performances among the top tabletop board game apps in Australia. Data sourced from Sensor Tower offers a comprehensive look at how these games have fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.
Chess - Play & Learn, published by Chess.com, showed a declining trend in both revenue and downloads throughout the quarter, with revenue dropping from $30K to $20K and downloads decreasing from 9K to 7K. Weekly active users also saw a slight dip, starting at 247K and ending the quarter at 238K.
Yahtzee® with Buddies Dice from Scopely, Inc. experienced fluctuating revenue, starting at $27K and dipping to $23K before rising again to $25K. Downloads for the app also decreased from 1K to under 1K, while active users showed a downward trend from 7.5K to 6.3K.
Beach Bum Ltd's Backgammon - Lord of the Board revealed a mixed bag with revenue initially dropping to $11K then spiking to $20K and settling at $15K by the end of Q1. Downloads remained relatively low, ranging from 525 to 564, and weekly active users saw a slight increase from 4.7K to nearly 5K.
SuperPlay's Domino Dreams™ showed an upward trajectory in revenue, starting at $3K and ending the quarter at $8K. Downloads saw a significant jump in mid-March at 3.7K but then slightly receded to 1.8K. Active users displayed growth, beginning at 2.1K and climbing to 3.5K.
Lastly, Ludo STAR by Gameberry Labs enjoyed an increase in revenue from $4.2K to $7.9K. Downloads remained relatively stable with minor fluctuations, ending the quarter slightly higher at 771. Weekly active users showed a gradual increase from 4.2K to 4.6K.
