During the second quarter of 2024, the adventure game category on the Android platform in Portugal showcased interesting trends. Here's a closer look at the performance of the top 5 games: Solo Leveling:Arise, Genshin Impact, Summoners War, Wuthering Waves, and The Seven Deadly Sins.
Released in early May 2024, Solo Leveling:Arise made a significant impact. The game saw an initial surge in downloads, peaking at around 20K in the first week of May. However, downloads gradually declined to just a few hundred by the end of June. Revenue followed a similar trend, starting strong with approximately $14K in the second week but tapering off to around $4.7K by the end of the quarter. Despite the drop in downloads and revenue, the game maintained a stable number of weekly active users, hovering around 21K towards the end of June.
Genshin Impact experienced fluctuations in both revenue and downloads throughout the quarter. Revenue peaked at about $9.4K at the end of April, followed by a noticeable dip, then fluctuating around $3K-$4K for most of May and June. Downloads were relatively stable, ranging between 400 and 700 per week. The game maintained a robust active user base, with weekly active users consistently around 20K, peaking at 21K in the last week of June.
Summoners War showed a steady performance in revenue, with weekly earnings ranging between $2K and $3.7K throughout Q2 2024. Downloads remained low, generally under 200 per week, with a slight peak at 186 in early April. The weekly active user count was relatively stable, averaging around 2.7K to 3.7K across the quarter.
Wuthering Waves, launched in mid-May 2024, demonstrated a strong start. The game saw an initial download spike of approximately 6.6K, which decreased to around 900 by the end of June. Revenue peaked at about $6.2K in the last week of May before stabilizing around $2.6K-$5K for the rest of the quarter. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, starting at around 6.1K and stabilizing at approximately 4.7K towards the end of June.
The Seven Deadly Sins exhibited modest performance metrics. Revenue showed a peak at $3.6K in late May but mostly hovered between $400 and $3.2K. Downloads were relatively low, peaking at 216 in late May. The game maintained a stable weekly active user base, averaging around 1.6K to 1.9K throughout the quarter.
