In the second quarter of 2024, the top five apocalypse-themed games on Android in the United States demonstrated varying performance trends across downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here’s a closer look at their metrics:
Whiteout Survival from Century Games Pte. Ltd. recorded a steady revenue throughout the quarter, peaking at approximately $2.0M in early April and maintaining around $1.7M to $2.0M in subsequent weeks. Downloads surged to 71K by the last week of June, while weekly active users grew consistently, reaching 386K by the end of the quarter.
Fallout Shelter from Bethesda Softworks LLC saw a notable spike in revenue mid-April, hitting a high of $313K, before gradually declining to $64K by the end of June. Downloads initially spiked to 56K in mid-April but trended down to 22K by the quarter's end. Weekly active users followed a similar pattern, peaking at 102K in late April and then decreasing to around 76K by late June.
Frozen City, another title by Century Games PTE. LTD., experienced a gradual decline in revenue, starting at $41K in early April and dropping to $21K by the end of June. Downloads were relatively low, peaking at just over 3.8K in mid-April, and decreasing to 2.4K by late June. Weekly active users remained stable, fluctuating between 74K and 83K throughout the quarter.
Last Fortress: Underground by LIFE IS A GAME LIMITED maintained a steady revenue, averaging around $250K per week in April and dropping slightly to $209K by the end of June. Downloads were relatively low, with a notable increase to 5.3K in the last week of June. Weekly active users saw a slight decline from 54K at the beginning of April to 48K by the end of June.
Doomsday Shelter: Survival from Triathlon HK showed modest revenue figures, starting at $5K in early April and ending at $3.6K in late June. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at 3K in late May. Weekly active users displayed an increasing trend, starting at 51K and reaching 67K by the end of the quarter.
