In the second quarter of 2024, the Android platform saw notable performance trends in the city building game category. Here’s a snapshot of how five leading applications performed based on data from Sensor Tower.
States Builder: Trade Empire by SayGames Ltd showed a steady increase in revenue, peaking at $73M in the third week of June. Downloads hit a high of 443K in the first week of June, while weekly active users surged to 1.04M in the same period.
Mars-Games' Isekai:Slow Life experienced its highest revenue at the start of April with $1.8M, followed by a fluctuating pattern, but closed the quarter with a strong $813K. Downloads remained relatively stable, with a slight peak at 200K in mid-April. Weekly active users saw a gradual increase, reaching 1.38M in early June.
For State Connect: Traffic Control by CASUAL AZUR GAMES, there were weeks with no revenue, but it ended the quarter on a high note with $48K in the third week of June. Downloads and weekly active users showed an impressive jump in early June to 448K and 694K respectively.
ELECTRONIC ARTS' SimCity BuildIt saw a decline in revenue throughout the quarter, but it bounced back to $752K in the last week of June. Downloads experienced a peak of 185K at the beginning of April, and weekly active users reached their highest at 2.07M in the same period.
Lastly, Global City: Building Games from MY.GAMES B.V. had its revenue vary, with a mid-quarter dip to $27K but rebounded to $85K by the end of June. Downloads saw a notable peak of 193K in early June, while weekly active users peaked at 238K in the same week.
