In Q2 2024, the fast food and fast casual restaurant industry saw varied performance across their Android applications in the US. Sensor Tower provides a comprehensive overview of these trends, revealing how each app fared in terms of downloads and weekly active users.
McDonald's started the quarter with approximately 10K downloads, which dipped to around 1K towards the end of April. However, a significant spike occurred in late May, with downloads reaching over 5K. Weekly active users reflected a similar pattern, peaking at 36K in early June after a low of 21K in late April.
For Subway - UK & I, the downloads showed an initial increase to nearly 5K in mid-May, but then the trend reversed, ending the quarter at just over 1K. Active user data for Subway's app was not available for this period.
Domino's Pizza Delivery experienced a fairly steady quarter, with downloads hovering around the 800-1K mark, except for a dip to around 500 in early June. Weekly active users started at approximately 9K and saw a slight uptick to close to 8K by the end of June.
The Costa Coffee Club Ireland app saw its downloads fluctuate between 400 and 600 throughout the quarter, without any clear trend. Unfortunately, there was no data on weekly active users for Costa Coffee Club Ireland.
Lastly, Starbucks Ireland had a vibrant start with downloads reaching over 800 in early April, but this enthusiasm waned, with downloads falling to just over 200 by the end of June. Like Subway and Costa Coffee, Starbucks Ireland's app did not have weekly active user data available for this quarter.
