Q2 2024 Performance of Top Food Delivery Apps on Android in Brazil

In the second quarter of 2024, Brazil's food delivery service apps experienced diverse trends in downloads and weekly active users on the Android platform. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides a glimpse into the performance of these apps.

iFood comida e mercado em casa saw its downloads fluctuate, starting at 195K in the first week of April and peaking at 224K in the first week of June before dropping to 168K by the end of June. Weekly active users for iFood started strong at 9.07M, peaked at 9.71M in late April, and ended the quarter with 9.3M active users.

The app dedicated to delivery personnel, iFood para Entregadores, experienced a similar pattern, with downloads beginning at 42K, reaching a high of 52K in early June, and closing the quarter at 46K. Its weekly active users saw a slight decline from 232K in the first week of April to 226K by the end of June.

Rappi: Food Delivery, Grocery had a modest download count, starting at around 7.7K and ending the quarter at 6.8K. Weekly active users for Rappi showed a decrease from 429K in the first week of April to 391K by the end of June.

For Uber Eats Orders, the downloads saw a slight decline from 3.8K to 3.2K over the quarter, while the weekly active users witnessed a minimal increase from 22.5K to 23.1K.

Lastly, Vivino: Buy the Right Wine, the only app in the top 5 with reported revenue, saw its revenue rise from $378 in the first week of April to $545 in the first week of June, then slightly decreased to $382 by the quarter's end. Downloads for Vivino started at 1.3K, spiked at 2.4K in late May, and ended at 1.7K. Weekly active users showed a rise from the initial 24.7K to a peak of 27.3K, concluding the quarter at 23.7K.
