In Q2 2024, the insect-themed games category in El Salvador saw varied performance across the top 5 apps. Here's a detailed look at the trends for each game:
Annelids: Online battle experienced a fluctuating trend in downloads, starting at 1.7K in early April and dipping to 734 by early May. However, it recovered to 1.2K by the end of June. Weekly active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 5.3K in early April and declining to 3.5K by early May, before rebounding to 3.9K by the end of June.
Ant Legion: For The Swarm showed a steady increase in downloads, beginning at 530 in early April and peaking at 857 in mid-June. Revenue mirrored this upward trend, starting at $33 and reaching $51 by the end of June. Active users also saw an increase, growing from 2.1K in early April to 2.7K by mid-June, although there was a slight dip to 2.5K by the end of the quarter.
Mosquito.io had a consistent rise in downloads, starting at 275 in early April and reaching 562 by the end of June. Active users also increased steadily, from 4.3K in early April to 5.3K by the end of June. Despite the strong engagement, the game did not generate any revenue during the quarter.
The Ants: Underground Kingdom saw a mixed performance. Downloads fluctuated, starting at 164 in early April, dipping to 49 by mid-May, and ending at 55 by late June. Revenue showed a slight upward trend, starting at $18 and peaking at $58 in early June. Active users started at 741, saw a dip to 487 by mid-May, and ended at 552 by the end of June.
Spider King had a relatively stable download rate, starting at 130 in early April and ending at 86 by the end of June. Active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 237 in early April and ending at 180 by the end of June. Like Mosquito.io, Spider King did not generate any revenue during this period.
