In the second quarter of 2024, the top 5 navigation and maps applications on Android in Guatemala demonstrated varying trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here’s an overview of their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.
Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a steady download rate, starting from 11.5K in early April and slightly fluctuating before ending the quarter at around 12K. Weekly active users showed minor variations, maintaining a range between 144K and 151K throughout the quarter, indicating stable user engagement.
Maps All in One, Speedometer saw a consistent download rate, beginning with 2.8K downloads and closing the quarter slightly higher at 2.4K. The app’s revenue remained minimal but steady with negligible fluctuations. Weekly active users mirrored the download trends, starting at 2.7K and showing minor drops and rises, ending at 2.3K.
Google Earth had a notable peak in downloads during the second week of April at 3.5K, followed by a dip and then a rise, closing June with 2K downloads. Weekly active users showed a similar trend, peaking at 22.1K in mid-June before settling at 18.2K by the end of the quarter.
MapXplorer: GPS, Radar, HUD maintained a download range between 1.5K and 3K, with a peak at 2.9K in late April. Revenue remained stable at around $1 to $2 per week. Weekly active users increased steadily from 6.3K in early April to 8.3K by the end of June, indicating growing user engagement.
Radar Map, Radar Detector, HUD showed a fluctuating download pattern with a peak at 1.6K in late April and ending the quarter with 1.2K downloads. Revenue was minimal but consistent. Weekly active users varied slightly, starting at 14.3K and ending at 16K, with a peak of 17K in mid-June.
