Top 5 Navigation and Maps Apps on Android in Russia - Q2 2024

The second quarter of 2024 saw interesting trends in the performance of the top 5 navigation and maps applications on the Android platform in Russia. Here’s a closer look at the data from Sensor Tower.

Yandex Maps and Navigator had a steady download rate, starting the quarter with 132K downloads in early April and peaking at approximately 153K in mid-June. Weekly active users showed a consistent upward trend, growing from 10.8M to 11.7M by the end of the quarter.

2GIS: Offline map & navigation experienced significant growth in downloads, beginning with around 93K in late April and reaching a high of 146K in mid-June. The app's weekly active users also increased steadily, from around 3.2M at the start of the quarter to nearly 3.7M by the end of June.

Yandex Navigator saw a consistent rise in downloads, starting with approximately 84K in early April and climbing to around 101K in mid-June. Active users followed a similar trend, increasing from 2.1M to 2.6M over the quarter.

GPS АнтиРадар (радар-детектор) had a notable increase in downloads, beginning at 24K in early April and reaching 37K by the end of June. Weekly active users also grew from 65K to approximately 86K over the same period.

Speedometer: GPS Speedometer showed a positive trend in downloads, starting with around 11K in early April and increasing to 27K by the end of June. Weekly active users saw a steady rise from 164K to 211K throughout the quarter.
