In the second quarter of 2024, the Android platform in El Salvador witnessed notable performance trends among the top sandbox-like games, including Roblox, Minecraft, IMVU: Social Chat & Avatar app, PK XD: Fun, friends & games, and Terraria.
Roblox from Roblox Corporation displayed a dynamic trend in both downloads and revenue. Downloads ranged from 7.9K to 13K, peaking in mid-April. Revenue fluctuated between $1.1K and $1.6K, with a notable dip in early June. Weekly active users showed a steady increase, reaching approximately 314.5K by the end of June.
Minecraft by Mojang, despite having no download data, managed consistent revenue growth peaking at about $737 in the week of May 20. Weekly active users, however, saw a slight decline from 35 to 29 over the quarter.
IMVU: Social Chat & Avatar app from IMVU, Inc. had a modest performance. Downloads were relatively low, ranging from 106 to 235, while revenue remained stable around $30 to $53 per week. Weekly active users displayed a downward trend, ending the quarter at approximately 1.4K.
PK XD: Fun, friends & games by Afterverse Games experienced varied performance. Downloads peaked at 1.4K in late April but dropped to 777 by the end of June. Revenue was generally stable, fluctuating between $18 and $46 weekly. Weekly active users hovered around 20K, peaking at 23K in late April.
Lastly, Terraria from 505 Games Srl, despite lacking download data, showed consistent weekly revenue between $11 and $20.
