In Q2 2024, the top word puzzle games on Android in Ireland showcased interesting trends in downloads, revenue, and active user metrics. Here’s a detailed look at how each app performed based on data from Sensor Tower.
Zen Word® - Relax Puzzle Game saw a notable increase in both revenue and active users. Starting the quarter with a weekly revenue of around $13, it climbed steadily to peak at $85 by the end of June. Downloads also showed impressive growth, increasing from 504 in the first week of April to 1.7K in the last week of June. The game's active users mirrored this upward trend, beginning at 793 and reaching 5.4K by the quarter's end.
Wordscapes maintained strong revenue figures throughout the quarter, starting at $848 and peaking at $1.3K in mid-May. Although downloads fluctuated, they recovered towards the end of the quarter, ending with 1.4K. Active users saw a slight decline initially but rebounded to reach 18.9K by the last week of June.
NYT Games: Word Games & Sudoku experienced a significant revenue spike in June, with figures jumping from $665 to $1.6K. Downloads, however, showed a gradual decline over the quarter, starting at 1.3K and ending at 691. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around the 4.9K to 5.2K mark.
Word Search Explorer had a consistent performance. Revenue remained steady, fluctuating between $22 and $41. Downloads showed growth towards the end of the quarter, increasing from 926 in early April to 1K by late June. Active users also saw a steady rise, reaching 4.7K by the end of the quarter.
Finally, Words of Wonders: Crossword displayed stable numbers across all metrics. Revenue remained fairly consistent, ranging between $166 and $225. Downloads fluctuated but ended on a positive note, with 737 in the last week of June. Active users maintained a steady range, closing the quarter at 7.5K.
