In the second quarter of 2024, the iOS platform saw varied performance among the top fitness and weight loss applications in the United States. Sensor Tower's data gives us a glimpse into how these apps fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and user engagement.
Calorie-counter by Dine4Fit experienced a fluctuating download trend, starting at around 5K in the first week of April and dipping to 3K by the end of June. Weekly active users remained above 20K throughout the quarter, peaking at 22K in mid-April. Revenue also showed a declining trend, starting at approximately $2.8K and closing the quarter at around $2.3K.
Calorie Counter by FatSecret showed a similar pattern in downloads, beginning at roughly 3.4K and rising to a high of 3.7K in mid-June before settling at 3.2K. Active users had a notable spike, reaching over 16K in late June from an initial 13K. Revenue figures varied, with an initial $1.1K that saw a slight increase to $1K by the quarter's end.
For Mi Fitness (Xiaomi Wear Lite), downloads started at about 3.7K and showed an uptrend, ending at 3.3K. Weekly active users for Mi Fitness displayed growth, starting at 6.3K and increasing to 6.2K by the end of Q2.
Zepp Life (Formerly MiFit) downloads began the quarter at 3.5K and saw a decrease to just under 2K. The app's weekly active users started strong at 68.5K but experienced a gradual decline, ending at around 52K. Revenue for Zepp Life was minimal, with the highest at $160 and several weeks with no revenue recorded.
YAZIO Calorie Counter & Diet downloads were the lowest among the top five, starting at approximately 1.8K and dipping to 1.6K. Active users showed a positive trend, starting at 12K and growing to nearly 15K by the quarter's end. Revenue saw a slight decline from an initial $3.3K to $2.5K.
