In Q2 2024, South Africa witnessed diverse performance trends among the top 5 miner games on the iOS platform. Here's a closer look at the weekly downloads, revenue, and active user metrics for these games, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Gold and Goblins: Idle Games experienced a gradual increase in weekly revenue, starting at $811 in early April and reaching a peak of $358 by the end of June. The weekly downloads showed a significant rise mid-quarter, peaking at 156 in the week of June 17. Active users saw a steady climb from 264 to 426 over the quarter.
In contrast, Idle Miner Tycoon: Money Games from Kolibri Games GmbH had a fluctuating performance. Weekly revenue peaked at $387 in mid-June, while downloads saw a high of 362 in late April. Weekly active users showed a peak of 4158 in late April before gradually declining to 3111 by the end of June.
Diggy's Adventure: Pipe Games from Pixel Federation Games maintained a consistent weekly revenue around $200, with minor fluctuations. However, no significant download data was reported, and active users were minimal, with only 19 recorded at the beginning of April.
Idle Zombie Miner: Gold Tycoon showed a steady increase in weekly revenue, reaching $400 by the end of June. Downloads were sporadic, with a peak of 87 in early April, and active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 150 throughout the quarter.
Lastly, Drill & Collect: idle mine dig had modest weekly revenue, with a peak of $119 in late April. Download numbers were minimal, and active users showed a slight decline from 83 in early April to 54 by the end of June.
