In the second quarter of 2024, the pair puzzle game category saw varied performances among the top iOS applications in the United States. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, offers a glimpse into user engagement through downloads and weekly active users.
Match Factory!, published by Peak Games, experienced a downward trend in downloads, dropping from 4.4M in early April to 250K by late June. Weekly active users also decreased from 10.2M to 5.1M over the quarter.
Triple Match 3D by Boombox Games LTD saw a modest rise in downloads mid-quarter, peaking at 544K in mid-June. The game's weekly active users peaked at 1.9M in mid-April, with a slight increase to 1.7M by the end of June.
Tile Family®:Match Puzzle Game from Playflux showed a spike in downloads to 1.7M in mid-April, but ended the quarter with a decrease to 339K. Its weekly active users saw a high of 3M in late April, with a slight decline to 1.8M by the quarter's end.
Moon Active's Zen Match - Relaxing Puzzle experienced a steady decline in downloads throughout the quarter, from 704K to 77K. The weekly active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 3.4M and decreasing to 2.7M.
Lastly, Tile Busters: Match 3 Tiles by Spyke Games also saw a decline in downloads, from 113K to just 4K. Weekly active users started at 1.9M, with a peak of 2.2M in mid-May, before slightly dropping to 1.7M by late June.
