As the second quarter of 2024 comes to a close, Sensor Tower provides an insightful look into the performance of the top Personal Finance budgeting and planning applications on the iOS platform in the United States. Here's how the top apps fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.
Splitwise saw its revenue fluctuate with a peak of nearly $200K in late April before settling around the $80K-$100K range towards the end of June. Downloads remained relatively stable, averaging around 250K per week. Weekly active users saw a slight decline from 1.5M at the start of April to just over 1.2M by the end of June.
Money manager, expense tracker experienced negligible revenue, so the focus shifts to its downloads and active users. Downloads peaked at over 200K in late May, while weekly active users reached a high of 1.18M at the same time, indicating a strong second-quarter performance in terms of engagement.
Money Manager Expense & Budget did not generate revenue this quarter, but it maintained a steady download rate with a small peak of over 200K in late May. Active users showed positive momentum, growing from 777K in early April to 825K by the quarter's end.
Monefy: Money Tracker saw its revenue peak at $44K in the last week of June. Downloads for the app were strongest in early June with 182K, while weekly active users remained above 1M throughout the quarter, peaking at 1.13M in early April.
Tricount - Split group bills, despite a revenue of only $1K in early April, showed a consistent number of downloads averaging around 80K per week. Weekly active users saw a slight increase from 370K in early April to 378K in early June, before dipping to 311K towards the end of the quarter.
