In the second quarter of 2024, the performance of the top sandbox games on iOS in Colombia revealed interesting trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here's a closer look at how these games fared:
Roblox saw a notable increase in both revenue and user engagement. Revenue started at $19.1K in early April and experienced fluctuations, peaking at $16.6K in the final week of June. Downloads showed a steady upward trend, rising from around 5.3K to 8.9K. Weekly active users increased from 76.1K to 83.3K, indicating growing popularity throughout the quarter.
Block Craft 3D: Building Games had a more modest performance. Revenue remained relatively low, with minor fluctuations, peaking at $73 in early May. Downloads varied, starting at 357 and reaching a high of 669 in late May, while weekly active users showed some growth, moving from 2.9K to 3K by the end of June.
Melon: Sandbox exhibited a consistent rise in revenue, starting at $43 and peaking at $147 in early June. Downloads followed a similar upward trend, climbing from 186 to 395 by mid-June. Weekly active users also grew steadily, from 6.3K to approximately 6.7K.
Mods for Minecraft PE - MCPE had a modest revenue performance, with occasional spikes such as $40 in late May. Downloads increased from 85 to 312 over the quarter, while weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 1.6K to 1.8K.
Minecraft demonstrated strong revenue growth, with significant spikes, particularly $4.1K in mid-May and $4.5K the following week. Downloads were relatively steady, ranging from 122 to 205. Notably, weekly active users saw substantial growth, increasing from 22K to 35K by the end of June.
