As the second quarter of 2024 comes to a close, we have observed some interesting trends in the theme park application space on iOS in the United States. Sensor Tower's data provides us with a snapshot of how these apps have performed in terms of downloads and weekly active users.
Starting with Disneyland® Paris, the app saw a fluctuating download trend, starting with 48K downloads in the first week of April and peaking at 81K downloads in the first week of May. Weekly active users showed a general increase, growing from 138K at the beginning of April to 118K by the end of June.
Port Aventura, on the other hand, had a quieter quarter. Downloads were sparse, with the highest at 17K in mid-June. Notably, the app showed no weekly active users on the recorded dates, indicating a potential area for growth or engagement strategies.
The Tokyo Disney Resort App experienced minimal download activity, with a slight uptick toward the end of the quarter, reaching 13K in the last week of June. However, the app's weekly active users data was not captured for this period.
For Universal Studios Japan, there was limited data on downloads, showing a small increase in early May to 10K downloads. Similar to Tokyo Disney Resort App, the weekly active users data was not available.
Lastly, Europa-Park & Rulantica had very modest download numbers, with only 3K in early April and 2K in late June. As with the previous two apps, there was no available data on weekly active users.
While these figures provide a snapshot, more detailed insights and trends are available through Sensor Tower for those interested in the deeper performance metrics of these theme park applications.
