Ultracasual games continue to captivate mobile users with their simple yet engaging gameplay. In the second quarter of 2024, the US iOS platform has seen interesting activity among the top titles in this category. Here’s a brief look at their performance, with data provided by Sensor Tower.
Satisdom by ABIGAMES PTE. LTD from Singapore made a splash with its release in early April. The game experienced a steady climb in downloads, starting from 12K in its debut week to a peak of 9.2M in late May, before seeing a slight dip to 7.1M by the end of June. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, growing from 503K to a high of 20.4M, and then settling at 19.3M.
Fill The Fridge!, developed by Turkey's Rollic Games, maintained a consistent revenue stream ranging from 22K to 112K USD per week. While downloads began at 8.9M and dipped to 2.4M in early June, they rebounded to 6.2M by the quarter's end. Active users peaked at 10.2M in the last week of June, despite some fluctuation throughout the quarter.
Kwalee Ltd from the United Kingdom offers Draw it, which saw its revenue fluctuate, with a notable peak of 134K USD in late April. The game's downloads started strong at 4.9M but gradually decreased to 1.6M. Active users started at 12.2M, peaked at 12.6M, and eventually decreased to 5.6M.
Acrylic Nails! by Crazy Labs of Israel, while not generating revenue, showed an interesting pattern in downloads and active users. Downloads hovered around 1M-1.3M in April and May, but jumped to 2.7M in mid-June. Active users followed suit, starting at 1.7M and climbing to 2.1M by the quarter's close.
Lastly, Bacon – The Game, with an undisclosed publisher country, also reported no revenue. However, its downloads showed growth from 1M to 1.9M mid-quarter before settling at 1.6M. Active users experienced a steady rise from 4.6M to 5.5M in the final week.
